Youth Development Competencies Program (YDCP) positively engages youth in addressing community needs and enables them to develop competencies to become successful adults and active citizens.

• Hundreds of youth exposed to successful and innovative youth-driven projects and trained in community needs assessment, project development/implementation, volunteer recruitment, and fundraising;
• Over 50 youth-driven projects implemented in seven target regions reaching thousands of diverse beneficiaries;
• Over 80 Russian organizations and youth groups collaborate and create a network of youth programs in line with the best practices of positive youth development;
• YDCP Clearinghouse, an innovative online platform provides an opportunity for sustainable networking and collaboration among the youth groups, and houses a wealth of information on youth projects and their implementation.

• Approaching youth as a resource to be developed, rather than a problem to be solved;
• Focusing on holistically nurturing the skills and competencies that youth will needs as healthy successful adults;
• Encouraging youth to develop a sense of self-worth and confidence through positive social projects;
• Empowering youth to choose, design and manage activities;

• Involving youth in the community and the community in youth.
